BEYOND JUST MAN AND WOMAN: RAINBOW FAMILIES SEEKS TO REFLECT ON DEFINITION OF FAMILY
The definition of family is beyond just a man-and-woman binary. We believe that family is defined by unconditional love and acceptance for one another, and that one has the power to choose the families they deserve.

More than 60 rainbow families celebrated love and acceptance in a photoshoot open to public over three days leading up to Pride Month. Professional photographer Toh Xing Jie photographed them against a unique rainbow backdrop created with live light effects, which is symbolic of their unique definitions of family.

A unique entity within AfA, Gay Health SG that is a community based organization, that aims to improve the sexual health and services to Gay/Bi/MSM community including the important work of ending HIV and AIDS stigma.
"We're Gonna Die Anyway" by Marian and Rene is arguably Singapore's Pride anthem for 2022! They are a part of Sing Song Circle, a group of musicians who got together to write songs online during the pandemic.
Recorded in a largely conservative Singapore where sex between men is illegal, The SG Boys proudly proclaims to be "the little gay podcast from Singapore" to provide a platform for LGBTQ+ voices.

The Rainbow Families collaborated with The T Project and Transbefrienders to hold a photoshoot at Alicia Community Centre. More than 100 participants, comprising persons in the transgender community and families, were photographed with their rainbow families that day.

"Remembering your lost rainbow families! Rainbow families can be broken too," June echoed the sentiment that LGBTQ+ persons experience grief and loss just like anyone.

Rainbow Families is a project that aims to showcase queer families in Singapore. It’s a reminder to LGBTQ+ folks, allies, and Singaporeans that queer families exist, that queerness in families is celebrated, and that chosen families are family too.
